How we handle a closed account
This page explains how we carry out section 16.5 of our Terms of Service and section 14 of our Data Processing Agreement when an account is closed. If anything here differs from those documents, they apply.
When you close your account
Access ends at once for everyone in your organization, the subscription is cancelled, and connectors stop collecting. Nothing is deleted at that moment.
The 30 days after closing
For 30 days after closing, the owner can, by emailing support@bumbleb.co from the owner’s address:
- get a copy of your data. We send you an export of your Customer Content: your datasets, uploaded files and connected data, and the events your connectors collected. Chats older than 90 days have already been deleted, as our Privacy Policy explains.
- reopen the account. We restore the organization and the owner, and the owner chooses who else comes back. The subscription doesn’t resume; you choose a plan again.
Deletion
After those 30 days, we delete your organization’s Customer Content and account details from our active systems within a further 30 days, and from backups within 90 days. On request, we confirm the deletion in writing.
You can ask us to delete your data sooner by emailing support@bumbleb.co from the owner’s address.
If the law requires us to keep something longer, or it is needed for an active legal claim (for example, a payment dispute), we keep only what is required, use it only for that purpose, and tell you unless the law prohibits it.
What we keep, and for how long
- Invoices and payment records: for as long as Indian company and tax law requires us to keep them (currently up to eight years after the end of the financial year), and then deleted.
- Usage Data: our identity-free record of how the Service ran. It identifies no one, so it isn’t deleted with your account. Section 9.6 of the Terms of Service explains.
Coming back later
Once your data is deleted, the email address is free, and you can sign up again as a new account.
