The analyst comes in two editions, Starter and Pro. Both get the same figures right — correctness is in both editions, so a Starter answer is not a rougher draft of a Pro one. What Pro adds is depth: it checks more, explains more tightly, and works through harder questions.
What you’ll need
- Nothing to switch on: your plan decides the edition. Team plans get Pro, and Starter plans get Starter (see pricing). If you’re on a teammate’s Team plan, you get Pro too.
What Pro adds
- Works to a named method. Each question is matched to a known kind of job and worked step by step, so the same kind of question gets the same method every time. That makes answers to similar questions easy to compare.
- Tests its own doubts. When a figure looks off, Pro checks it against the rows — does it agree, sum to the whole, survive a recount? — and tells you only about doubts that failed a check, so you aren’t warned about things that turned out fine.
- Reads your words one way, and says so. Every filter traces back to something you asked. An ambiguous word gets one reading, with the other given once.
- Handles messy joins. When two tables are matched on a shared column (a join key) and some rows are missing that key, those rows are counted apart and stated, not silently dropped.
- Tighter answers. A ranking names its leaders, a definition is said once, and the next question follows from the figures shown.
- Says when a window is outside your data, and owns each open part with the exact next step.
How to tell which you have
Look beside your name: a Pro badge means your account is on Pro.
